Honeywell thermostat "In Recovery" Message?

In recovery only shows on programmable stats. It refers to the adaptive recovery when using the programming. Over time the stat will learn how long it takes to cool or heat to the programmed set point. For example, if during the day the programming is set to 80?, and at 4:30 the programming drops to 76?, if it takes 2 hours for the temperature to reach 76?, it will learn that it takes 2 hours and eventually it will start turning on at 2:30 so that at 4:30 the temperature is satisfied instead of at 6:30, at which point it is no longer in recovery

Can't get the temperature to go up, it seems to be stuck on hold with our Honeywell programmable thermostat

May be auto mode or it's locked. Press hold button for 5 seconds continuously and try now.

I have a honeywell thermostat i am not sure what kind it is just square with an up and down om has shut it off and I want to know how to turn it back on because she is gone and it is burning up...

Turn the lever to cold and the other one to auto and with arrows you'll set the temperature. If it's a digital thermostat it'll take a few minutes to start. Also make sure the a/c breakers are on.
