Question about RCA RT2380 Home Theatre System System
The unit has at least 2 microprocessors(computers within your unit) One of these microprocessors is called a display microprocessor. It is responsible for receiving incoming commands from buttons you push on the unit. It also accepts and processes the signals from your remote. If unplugging it for a few minutes, doesn't correct the issue, your display microprocessor is probably bad.

Leave it unplugged for 24 hours. Sounds like the failsafe for a power surge. This is typical for RCA products. I have a 54 inch rear projection TV that will only tune 16 channels and none of them are correct when it surges. The solution: 24 hours unplugged. I also have the same type of thing with my RCA DVD recorder... Never had it happen to surround sound, though.
