you need to see if the disc is spinning inside the unit, if it is then you need to either clean the laser with a clean cotton tip or replace the laser, if the disc doesnt spin, it may be the spindle motor(held within laser assy,which is easier to replace) or it could be the mpeg printed circuit board. Good luck.
