Hi IT,

First, an FM Modulator (and the necessary controller) are a built in feature on a CD Changer. It either has one or it doesn't. If it does, they usually call themselves a 'Universal CD Changer'.

Now Alpine to Pioneer. While many adapters exist, I've only found those that connect the changer to OEM wiring. Alpine to Mazda, Alpine to Ford, etc.

An adapter that connects two aftermarket components of different make is closer to what I would call a specialty item. No reason why it couldn't be done, not enough demand for it to be done commercially.

I'm sorry I don't have better info for you. What I would do is stop by a car stereo store. One that specializes in custom car stereo. It's their business to know if one exists. Maybe even have one in stock?

Best regards,
Mike

Honestly you most likely can not unless you purchase the fm modualator allowing you to hook it threw your antena and you wont be able to control it threw you deck (head unit)

I have an Alpine IDA X300 head unit and I have just acquired a CHM S630 CD changer. Will these be compatible and work together?

No. The newer decks do not run changers anymore. In fact no one makes changers anymore. You would have to get an older alpine head unit to run that changer.

I have my cd changer (alpine) plugged into the input port via ai net cable and I have the output going to the alpine radio (cda 9886) via ai net cable. When I hit the source button everything comes up but...

One thing to verify is that the Ai-Net switch at the bottom of the radio is set to Norm and not the EQ position. And also gray Ai-Net connectors are for audio input and the black Ai-Net connectors are for audio output. It sounds like you have everything connected correctly and at least the Sirius is coming up. And I assume that the CD changer works when connected directly to the reciever so you know that it is working. I would suspect that there might be a problem with the Sirius reciever not allowing the communication signal to connect to the Alpine deck and in that case you would need to get a new reciever. You could check the Alpine radio settings and see if there is something that needs to be changed in order to allow the CD changer to work. If you disconnected the battery connection to the radio then it might have reset the settings to factory default. Otherwise it sounds to me like the problem is with the Sirius reciever.

ALPINE CVA 1003 AND A DHA 5680 DVD/CD CHANGER

you have the amp remote wire hooked to the power antenna lead instead of the amp wire on the deck otherwise just hook it to a switched +12 volt source. You sure you got a DVD changer instead of just a cd changer

Peripheral's Connex2Car adapter to an Alpine CDA-9851

the alpine should recognize it as a "changer" when you select the source; ie: radio, CD, changer. Sounds simple, but have you turned up the volume on the iPod?
The Alpine adapter is $100, but works great, you can totally control all your iPods functions, and it displays all song info on the Alpine decks display.
