Try to install the software anyways, even though it is not Vista Compatible, meaning it wasn't tested or certified for use with Vista. If that doesn't work, try to visit Ricoh's website to see iff they have a driver compatible with the Ricoh Caplia R40. If that doesn't work, email Ricoh and ask what they can do to help you.
