Question about Boating
I have a deckhand 40 and it seems the gears are stripped. The weight falls free and when attempting to raise weight nothing happens. I took the cover off and the line spool spins free and a small metal pin fell out. When I looked at the pin it appears to have a broken edge on in and there is a rubber flap attached to it.
Is there a replacement part availailable and if so, how tough is it to install?
Here is a schematic for your Deckhand:
The install of the large plastic gear is fairly easy if you are somewhat mechanically inclined (you must be if you posted the question ;)
Give it a go, last one I did took about 20 mins.
