There are no drivers for win98 operating system the player is designed to work with XP and Vista. If set to MSC it would work on Win 2000 SP4

Is there driver/ software for Win ME for the Sansa Clip mp3?

a friend told me that if the device shows as"connected" when hooked up (it does) AND the battery charges correctly (it does), then (a)the USB connection had enough juice; and (b) the PC recognizes it - i just had to FIND it. device manager/ MyComputer: nada; same for ANY file/ folder with "sansa" or "sandisk." working thru WMP (Windows Media Player), however, I discovered that drive E - for a portable hard drive, NOT currently connected via USB - was STILL showing up in the "Copy to CD or device" field. sure enough, it was the SanDisk clip player (even though it was NOT under the "Recognized Portable Devices" subsection). without using the installation disk at all, it downloaded tunes just fine. *note: the installation disk seemed to be an .exe file ONLY for the Rhapsody music service. as noted above, it was unnecessary. also - my USB ports are 1.1 and not 2.0, and package stated USB 2.0 was a "minimum requirement" - not true*

Driver for sansa e270 for win xp os

Install Windows Media Player 11. The Sansa drivers, and MTP system, are part of WiMP10 / 11. Windows XP "out of the box" has WiMP9, which may be your problem.

The Sansa can function as a flash drive in MSC mode, but your files transferred in MTP will not be available on the PC side.

The Sansa does not require specific drivers from SanDisk, as it's integrated into WiMP.

Go under menu, setting and change the device to MTP or playforsure..

Let me know if that works
Please rate accordingly
Thanky you

My computer won't acknowledge my mp3 player

In the package with the mp3 player it should come with an installation CD, plus it should be a plug and play, unless you are using windows 95, or 98. Go to control panel and check your hardware to see if there are any USB drives that have an indication of error (red exclamation point and yellow question mark) try to delete the driver and then plug in the mp3 player.
