Question about Aiwa XR-M131 Shelf System
Tried several CDs and when the CD does play (which is not every time and not for long periods of time) there is a lot of background noise. Also, the player is unable to read the CD (same one I've played in my daughter's room for 5 years and I've burned a new one just in case it was the CD) every time. It just keeps searching.
Try cleaning the lens with a CD lens cleaner. If that doesn't work, the optical pickup may be back. If tht is the case, it can be repaired but it will probably cost quite a bit (more than $100) to repair.
