Remove the hose from the machine. Check that water is flowing. and there is no corrosion reducing the opening. If that is OK then it is the internal seals and pressure vallve on the pressure unit Cost to have it fixed by Karcher is $200

Thanks for using FIXYA

Power washer loses pressure. Engine runs fine. Taking the nozzel off, squeezing the trigger, and then putting the nozzel back on sometimes remedies the problem. How do I fix it? Thank you.

Your bypass valve is jamming. All you do is take it out, put a smear of o ring grease around the o rings then put back in, make sure you push it all the way in and should fix the problem.

Hi:
The first thing i would do is be sure there is not a partial blockage in the nozzle.

Karcher HD 655 S Does not come up to full pressure

yes...check the check valve. A one-way directional valve, this part is also known as a DUMP valve. It opens when too much pressure builds in the hand wand (when not spraying water) in order to protect the pump, by returning the high pressure to its source reservoir. I suspect the DUMP valve is stuck in open condition (or nearly open).
