Take it apart

I had the same issue. What I found upon taking it apart was that it must have fallen and the case was not making contact with one of the safety switches. Taking it apart was easy a mix of phillips head screws and torx screws. Took me 15 minutes to take apart and find the bad spot. I hope your fix is this easy.

Off & on button not working

I had the same problem. Because I live in Brazil and this headphone is not sold here (I bought it in Canada), taking it to assistance wasn't an option.
I was so annoyed that such a minor issue was keeping me from using an otherwise perfectly working headphone, I went ahead and tried to open it. Obviously I couldn't do it, got mad and ended up ripping the whole thing apart. Luckily I only screwed up the plastic case so it still works.
Anyway, turns out it's just a 3mm piece from the external power switch that broke, so it wasn't able to push the internal power switch. I removed the external switch and put the (rest of the) plastic case back on, I only need a small tip, like a mechanical pencil, to turn it on and off.
If you don't know what else to do and won't bother to send it to assistance, I recommend just using something like a utility knife to cut off the external power switch (without opening the whole thing) so you can reach the internal switch.

Take apart case to repair switch

Atleast on model which I own (~6 yrs old), there is no need to take apart the case for switch removal. Simply pry the switch cover off (gently) and switch will then slide out for cleaning & evaluation.

Remote stays lighted

Remove the batteries first and then reinstall--

If remote stays lit it will run them down etc.

either there is a slide switch on the side of the remote or something got spilled on remote and got inside(easy to do and not even know you did it).

In that case someone will need to take the remote apart--if you get it apart I can tell you what to look for and how to clean it to resolve this issue.

If you are not able to take the remote safely apart then you are going to have to buy a new original remote.......Since if left with batteries in it will run them down quickly not much to lose taking it apart.

Hello, I currently have a celing lamp in my kitchen. There is a little cord you pull to turn it off. The onlything is, is that the cord is not working and i dont know how to turn my lamp off if not to...

The lamp has on-off pull-chain switch.
You can buy replacement pull-chain switch at hardware store.
Buy the pull-chain switch that has two wires.
Buy two yellow or orange wire nuts.

Switch off breaker.
Take apart light.
Remove old pull-chain. Strip back the wires if needed, twist wires together.
Connect new pull-chain switch using wire nuts.

While customer is using Headset, there are no issues. Issues occur when customer is using the speaker phone. Apart from this some more issues were observed. After lifting the phone (by using phone...

I would take a look at the speaker phone button. If it's a machanical button try turning the phone upside down and push the button as quickly as passable for a 30 second count. If you can, blow on it or use caned air if you have it. This may dislodge or clean the switch. This may also further damage the switch to not work at all, but at lest you will know for sure where the problem is. Most cases the simplest answer is the right one.

I have an Easy-Flo central vac unit. The handle on the electric hose has a switch on the handle. With the switch on ''O'' in the center, it's off. On the left, is the ''I'' position. The vacuum runs but...

You can't get that apart. I repair the switches on these hoses a lot. The only way to fix it is to just get a new switch and replace it. You can get a replacement switch here:

Laptop lid actuator switch is loose

This is common problem. To get to that you'll have to take everything apart including motherboard. It's part of the top case. You'll have to bend it up for it to work or completely disable it permanently.

My ipod will only work while plugged into the docking station

If the part is stuck inside the iPod you can take the case apart quite easily and remove the broken part. If this is not the issue and I am way off please do let me know :)

Top Case Removal Begin by using a flat tool to separate the white plastic front case from the silver backcase. You will need to stick your flat tool into the crevice, work it down into the crevice, and then pry up so that the casing separates. Apply enough pressure so that your flat tooldoes not slip and scratch your iPod!Continue separating the casing by gently prying up all the way around the unit. It shouldbe much easier to pry the casing apart after you get the initial corner started.

VG150 power switch defunct

There are tabs along the sides so you need to remove all screws and then use something like a screwdriver to pry it open... careful not to scuff the plastic. Anyhow the switch is probably fine and your main board is dead. There are several posts on the web about this issue, and mine had the same problem. Once I replaced the main board I found on ebay, it worked just fine.
