How long should I charge my battery and how long does it last?
It takes about 5 hours to charge fully and one
charge will last for about 4-10 hours (with default system settings)
depending on the work mode where you are. In default system settings and
full charge mode, it is about 11 hours of ebook reading, 11 hours of
music playback, 9 hours of video playback or 7 hours of web browsing.
The time will get shortened if your Next2 handles multi tasks at the
same time.

How do I charge my Next2 properly?
The device features a DC-IN port for connecting
to power or charging battery. To charge the device, connect your device
to any standard wall outlet through the DC-IN port using the AC
adaptor.
Its likely the batteries will take at least several hours to fully charge, if not more. NiCad batteries are slow charging and usually need 4-6 hours for a full charge. Keep them on longer or even overnight but make sure you remove them in the morning. You will probably find the light turns green after 4-6 hours of charging. If lights stay yellow and green after 12 hours of charging, it may indicate a fault in the battery itself where it will not accept a charge.

Your battery is recharged when connected to your computer. Turn the player off and connect it to your computer via the USB cord. The computer must be turned on. Initial charge should be for 10 hours with subsequent charges 3 to 4 hours for a full charge. A quick charge of 1-1/2 hours will give you a 70 percent charge. A fully charged battery will last up to 15 hours under normal use.
