Question about Scanport Computers & Internet

Open Question

Scanner I have a scanport 2030 color scanner but I don't know how it works. I bought it years ago and forgot about it. I found it this week. Is it still usuable or so outdated it would be of no use. I do not have manuels and really don't know how to start it or print photos.Any help is appreciated. Jane Staton 4648 Oneonta Cutoff Albertville,Al 35950 tjstaton@charter.net

Hi there,
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

SOURCE: Monitor does not work

sounds like a slightly damaged power supply. try powering up with an equivalent supply. if only an ac wall cord is plugged in for power, then internal supply is at fault

SOURCE: Printer will not print in Black at all

Actually guys, I figured out that because I had been using the same ink cartridge for so many years that the print heads were terribly dried out. I bought from SuperMediaStore.com (its a site run by Yahoo!) $3/$4 ink cartridges, both black and color (they charge too much for shipping though), and I have absolutely no problem printing right now.

Look around online, and buy cheaper, maybe up to $10, cartridges, but do NOT buy these stupid OEM cartridges!! Most cartridges sold on the internet are up to OEM standards.

That worked for me, hope you guys have good luck!

SOURCE: Can't Print on Card

I had the same problem with my 3 year old HP Officejet 5610. Feeding heavy paper or white card stock would result in a paper jam. The card stock would start to feed, but then stop half way. The pinch rollers seemed to spin without advancing the paper, even if the paper was fed one sheet at a time.

Solution: Clean the rubber pinch rollers with isopropyl rubbing alcohol. Partial disassembly/reassembly required.

To access the rollers, remove the scanner plate:
1. Disconnect power, USB, and phone cables.
2. Open up the scanner sheet feeder by tilting it left.
3. Unlatch the scanner scanner feeder so that it opens completely vertical. Latch is on front hinge only.
4. Remove the 4 corner hex screws on the scanner plate. Remove the 2 hex screws on the sheet feeder. (I used a small flat blade screw driver in the hex heads)
4. Lift the plate and sheet feeder away from printer box. Disconnect the 2 flat cable wires from the circuit board.
5. Scrub rubber pinch rollers with alcohol on a swab. Dry thoughly.
6. Reassemble. (NOTE: This is a good time to clean the underside of the glass plate and the scanner head)

SOURCE: Trampoline net

Hope this helps. The trampoline net will either have a sleeve for flexible poles to form a ring at the top or there will be at least four obvious "loops" to hang from the poles. Then you need to sew the net to secure it to the mat/trampoline itself with rope. A good idea to buy new rope to do this as it wears with use. I have replaced my securing rope with "tie-down" rope from the sporting good department. The soft nylon kind seems to wear better. To sew: use a good knot to secure it to the underside of the trampoline (spring/Loop) then simple go through the net at the bottom skip a few holes come back through the net and go down around the bottom of a spring hold. repeat all the way around.

Scanner not found.

first check all your wires make sure nothing has come loose.

unplug the power supply wait a minute and re power scanner.
Also, turn off you PC and restart it.

retest your scanner
if it still does not work then..

next try reinstalling your scanner driver software on your computer.

If these beginning steps do not work please write back for further diagnosis.

Looking for driver

Hi, my suggestion for this is to go to www.driverguide.com, I know they have popups and you have to signup, but it is free, and when it was a driver i've spent weeks trying to find, for some reason they have always had some of the craziest stuff, like those dialup modems that had brand names that were bought and sold at least a dozen times. Driverguide will take a bit of time but it will be worth it when you get the driver.
