I want to reformat the c drive, but it keeps asking me for the administrator password and I don't know what it is.

Just how are you trying to go about this task? To reformat the C Drive, you need to boot from a Windows CD Are you doing this?

Installing WINDOWS?
Don't enter a password for the Administrator account at this time.
Just press the [Enter] key and go to the next step.
Why? Because most people will forget what they keyed in during installation. Whenever you need assistance, most experts will know the password.
Change it later when you want to increase security.
