It shouldn't run...it should tumble ! just kidding. Does it make any attempt to run ? How about a noise when trying to start ?

Check you motor and see if it is running.
If it is then your problem may be the belt either came off the motor pulley or the belt is broken.
If the motor is not running it may be a burned out motor or a timer switch not working.
