More details would be helpfull. Have you tried clicking the F8 key while it is starting up?
if that does not work try this- http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial61.html
2) Type msconfig
3) in the General tab select advanced
4) check the box next to "enable startup menu" click ok.
5) select restart.
6) when you have done what you wish to in safe mode go through above proccess again and uncheck the "enable startup menu option to continue starting normally.
