Do you see a little speaker in the lower right hand side or your screen, If so double click it and make sure the volume is up and there is nothing muted. ok you can download the drivers from website if I know what kind of system you have and sound card, Here is something you can try and see if that works for you and maybe it will work for you so heres what you do go into the device manager and look down to the left and you will see sound devices try to go into that and try to update drivers for your sound. If you don;t see the sound in your device manager you can do two things you can choose, system restore and restore to the day before you lost your drivers and see if that works and if so you are on your way, If not you cn find out what sound card you have and I can lfind you the drivers online, I sure hope that helps you out If not let me know what sound card you have and system and I will find them and email them to you .

When I turn my speakers on for music...only part of the sound comes on. You can hear the music but when the singing comes on you can barely hear it.

This means that only one part of the sound is being transferred. Check the wire to check if its properly in. Also check if any wire is broken or loose. Check the power source too. ;)

My speakers no longer have sound, even though the green light is turned on and they are plugged in correctly

There could be several small annoyances happening here. The first thing I suggest is try hooking the speakers audio (green) cable to a different sound source, such as an MP3 player, or cd player, or a portable GPS. If any of those devices allow your speakers to produce sound, then the issue is NOT with the speakers, and you need to look at your audio drivers/settings. Make sure your audio driver is installed, and make sure your audio settings are not muted. You can call your pc manufacturer to get help in determining your driver status.

Dell a215 computer speakers can't get sound but the green power light is on

Well i sometimes go through alot of troubleshooting just to find its the most simple thing in the end.

Start at the source. Check if the green audio cable is plugged into the correct audio jack on the pc. Colours match up. (green with green)
And if that doest work check that the Pc isnt on mute.

To check this, there is a icon of a speaker on the task bar on the bottom right of the screen.

And if all this has been done and u still have no sound, plugg the speakers into a ipod or a similar device to see that the speakers actually do work. turn the volume up and down as well.

Hope this helps :)

The power light is on,but there is no sound coming from my speakers

make sure that the speakers are plugged into the GREEN circle on the back of the machine, and make sure the volume controls in windows are turned all the way up, and mute is NOT checked. If that still does not work, hook the speakers up to an ipod, walkman, boombox, or anything with an earphone jack, and see if they play. If they work, then its a pc issue.

Seems to be no power to speakers.

Disconnect green speaker jack from computer and see if you get a green power light on speakers. If the speakers indicate they have power, your sound card or circuit is shorting out the speakers. If you still have no power to the speakers when disconnected from computer, then no green light means no power to speakers. Either you’re A.C. adaptor is bad or the speakers are shorted out. You have 2 options:
1) Replace A.C. adaptor.
2) Replace speakers.
If you buy new speakers, make sure that they have their own power source (A.C. adaptor).

Speakers work for just a second when windows starts up

Try to uninstall the sound card, shut your pc off, take the sound card off, attach it again and turn on the pc. Then reinstall the drivers and see whether the same problem occurs or not.

Thanks,
Mary

Sony Xplod 500w green power light no sound

try running the system with a cross-over configuration.

So your left + will be left + and your right + will be in the right + but put the right (-) where the left (-) is and left (-) where the right (-) is. If that doesnt work, then that means that you shorted out your audio out channels. the only way you can fix that is if you have good soldering skills. But other than that I'de say scrap it, unless you have the high outputs and then buy another amp, some mids and highs and connect the mids and highs to the xplod
