Unless there is wireless adapter on this printer and in your laptop, there is no way you could use it without the physical connection

How do I hook this up to my laptop PC?

After physically setting up the unit (ink, language, alignment) use the CD to install the software (if you have Win7, you may want to download the software from the web site:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?product=3645100&lc=en&cc=ie&dlc=en&lang=en&cc=ie ).
Then, get a USB cable (A/B, Male on both ends) and when prompted to by the software install, connect the printer to the computer. The square end of the cable goes in the printer and the rectangular end connects to a USB port on the computer.

The above web site has additional details on the physical setup and software steps. Since this is an all-in-one, using a USB hub is not recommended by the manufacturer. Cables longer than 6 feet are also not recommended.

I hope this helps.

Hi, I have a lexmark all in one printer x83. I also have a toshiba l300 series laptop. I want to know if my laptop is compatible to hooked up to my printer.

How does the printer connect to the PC, via USB?

If it is a USB connected printer then physically the printer will connect.

However, the real question is whether or not the X83 has a driver for the operating system that is on your laptop. Since you did not tell us the OS, I'm dead in the water until you do.

Usually this is a networking and firewall problem. Is the computer that is physically connected to the printer set to allow sharing the printer? Have you set the name of the printer to be exactly the same on all three computers? If you are using a better firewall than the basic one in Windows XP, have you set that to accept network traffic from the other computers in your home network? (This has to be done on all of the computers on the network so that they are in the same Workgroup.) Check that you allow bidirectional network traffic.

I was wondering if there was a way to print from a wireless Dell laptop to the Lexmark P6250 printer without physically connecting laptop to printer?

NetGear wireless printer is what I use,so a ethernet cable from the netgear to the printer or usb cable , just setup the netgear to talk to the laptop.http://www.netgear.co.uk/wireless_print_server_wgps606.php

Can't print from Vista Laptop

You need to go to printers and faxes.  Set up a new networked printer.  Take the drivers off of your vista machine, because by using those drivers, vista is thinking that the printer is physically hooked up tot hat computer.

You are using the wrong cable. Connect the printer to your router with an ETHERNET cable - not USB. Then then printer will have an IP address. Then it should be able to connect without the intermittent off and on that you have been experiencing.
