They make a kit that you can buy at the local hardware store that is a series of weights that you can ad to the blade that is out of balance. This will solve the issue. Just let them know that your ceiling fan is wobbling and you heard that they had a out of balance kit you could buy. Hopefully they will know what you are talking about. The weights just stick to the top side of the blade so no one can see them. There is a little weight that sticks on each blade temporarily to check which blade is out of balance. I have bought several of these kits for my fans and they work great. Good luck

Put a piece of masking tape on each blade and number them.while you're up there check that mounting screws are tight.switch position of blades,i.e. move #1to #3,see if it's better or worse;switch #2 & #4 or#4 &#6 etc. until you find the combination giving you the best 'balance'

The fan wobbles cause you bought a crappy Harbor Breeze or Hampton Bay fan. The fan blades need to be balanced with a fan balance kit that comes in the box. You probably threw it out cause you didn't know what the package of weights was for. Get you a Hunter ceiling fan and you won't have an issue with fan wobble, because their fans have better quality control before leaving the factory. If you installed the fan without adequate bracket support- you best get a pro to help you out cause there is no fan wobble help for stupidity.

Wobbles......5 ceiling fans

Several things can cause a ceiling fan to wobble. The most of common of which is loose screws in the fan blade irons , that attach to the fan's motor. Just one loose screw can cause significant wobble and at times, an annoying noise. The other, which is more serious, is that the plastic ball on the top end of the down rod, that attaches to the electrical outlet bracket, is improperly installed. It generally has a groove in it, that must be installed so that it fits over the tang in the bracket. The tang keeps the ball in place. To inspect it, you will need to loosen the screw on the ceiling cowl, so that it slides down the down rod. If the ball is not resting in the bracket properly, lift the fan up by the down rod and put the plastic ball in the proper position. Be sure the wall switch for each fan you work on is turned OFF, before attempting in inspection or repair.

While you're at it, make sure the ceiling/electrical box bracket is tight to the the ceiling and is level,

Hope this helped you troubleshoot and solve the wobbly problem. Please let me know. Thanks.

My flush ceiling fan is wobbling and hitting against the ceiling making an awful noise. How do I fix that issue?

The fan blades appear to be out of balance. First, check the screws that hold the fan blade irons to the fan motor. Tighten all that may be loose. If that doesn't solve the problem. the fan hanger bracket behind the ceiling cowl cover may be loose (it's attached with thin screws). In addition, the electrical box, that the hanger is attached to, may have come loose from the ceiling joist. If the electrical box has come loose, the box will need to be reattached to the joist with 1 1/2" long screws.

Hope this helps to solve the problem.

After installation the whole fan wobbles. it is standard installation

The most important thing about installing a ceiling fan is to use the proper ceiling box, one that is approved and very firmly fastened to the ceiling joists. If this is not done and the fan is only attached to an existing ceiling box, it may end up being out of balance and wobbling, not to mention being very dangerous.

Distance between blades and ceiling?

I'd be more concerned on how much clearance you have between the blades and the floor since you mention a "low" ceiling. The efficiency drops
rapidly as you get too close to the ceiling. You also have to worry about the wobbling of the unit. I wouldn't go less that 8"
