I have a kalimar tripod pro-tech v-40 and I lost the piece that connects to the camera where can I buy this part?

If you have lost the screw no problem. Take the camera with you and go to you r local hardware store and fit it with a new bolt or srew.. It will be a standered size and thread. I loose this part all of the time

I need the piece that screws into your camera and clips into the tripod. Mounting plate? My tripod is an Ideal - The Stabilizer.

Because your tripod is not supported by the manufacturer; parts lists and pars are not available, you should measure the opening and see what other brand quick releases will work paying attention to the shape and locking mechanism. Otherwise just get another tripod.
