Question about Kenmore Refrigerators
Kenmore Bottom Freezer Refrig. Freezer ok but top refrig temp is too low and can't feel cold air coming through the top vent and nothing is blocking vents. There's ice build up behind the freezer. We used a blow dryer on the back side of the fridge/freezer and then cold air comes back into the frig. Not sure what part to replace...Thermostat, Defroster, Condenser? Any ideas
You have your own answer there - You have overfrosting and icing up behind the freezer, this will affect proper cooling - also if you have seperate freezer and refrigerator controls, it's possible the damper is not opening properly to let the cool air in. But in your case it sounds like a defrost problem. You will need to have a service person inspect your control board and defrost timer components - sometimes it's as simple as a board replacement due to a burnt resistor these things are the most common causes.
