Re: lost my sound

Go into device manager and try updating the audio drivers are inabled and on then update drivers, Other wise you can go into the system restore in accessories and restore you system to just before you lost you audio drivers, that should get you up a hearing sounds now, If not just let me know and I will find another solution. OK Thanks again and Happy Hoidays

My headphone jack not work when i put it in my tablet i can still here the sound from my tablet and the headphones from the tablet it is a irulu Tablet,

Make sure you push the headphone plug into the jack completely. If you're sure that it is, then the jack on the tablet has failed. The sound gets switched from speaker to headphone in the jack itself.

My headphine jack simply won't work. I have tried multiple headphones, but it doesn't sense them or something because it continues playing out of the speakers.

is it a tablet? you dont say. If it is a laptop..make sure you are plugging it into the 'headphone' jack...not the input or mike jack. they all look the same except for color. if itis a tablet...go into the settings and see that the headphone jack is set to 'headphones' and not 'speaker'
It is possible you have a defective headphone jack...there is a small switch build into the jack that disconnects the speakers and turns the headphone audio path to the headphones. I see what the device is

Rca tablet modle rct6773w22 sound stopped working only works with head phones I'm frustrated

Check the entry, where the headphone plug goes in, if nothing is in there. Just a speck of dust can disable the contacts, so the sound can't go to the internal speaker. If there is nothing wrong in the connector, try resetting the tablet and or restart the sound program you are using.

Is there difference between speaker and headphone jacks ports

Not all computer headphone jacks will work with speakers. So, it would appear that your computer is one them. Read the article I've linked.

No sound is coming through

Check that there is no headphone symbol or Bluetooth symbol at the top of the homescreen - nothing plugged in to external speaker jack and not connected to Bluetooth speaker.
Check volume button on RH side of tablet - press up and down and you should see the volume bar appear on the screen - make sure it's at about half way.
Check "Sound" in the settings and make sure each bar is at least half way to the maximum.

Hi I am using a HP PAVILION running on windows xp operating system and it cannot detect any microphone i plug into I've tested the microphones on other computers and they work please help i tried to...

either the jack is damaged or the microphone is just not enabled.
use this as a guide
this will show you how to check all this information.

if the guide does not work then next you would format your pc to make sure there is nothing else causing it. not a system restore a full format.

if that does not fix it then you have a damaged jack and you can get a usb microphone to do the job.

Audio out-jack doesn't work

There is a physical connection that shuts off the speakers when you insert the plug and push the connection open. It may be damaged or stuck. Probably need to open the unit to see. Did this connection used to work?
Don't force anything into the hole as this may already be the problem.
