Question about Frigidaire FRT22TSE
That answer is not what the DIY-person wants to hear. They want to hear that the timer is located in top of fridge section and is part# 215846602 usually <$20 @your local appliance store. I know cause I did the troubleshooting and repair of mine! In my case it was always on. I'd still bet that his has same problem but good to also check thermostat and heater with ohm meter for continuity. Don't know about this site but searspartsdirect.com has parts blowups & all parts numbers.

Is your unit under warranty ? Call for service and have them replace the defrost timer control board and check the other defrost components - you also could try to locate the board online although I do not recommend it unless you are comfortable working with wires and circuitboards. It's best to have a service person also check the other components, the heater, continuity, defrost timer, control board, etc as well.
