I have the same problem. When I turn on the TV, the orange light appears and then turns to red after a few seconds. It remains on red, but no picture or sound.

I have the same problem on my 50PCDR1. Tech came by yesterday to troubleshoot. He isolated the problem to the T-microprocessor board, which caused the power suply to fail.

most times then not it's the capacitors on your power board that blew there for not supplying the tv with enough power if you open it up and check the capacitors it should be leaking some kind of liquid or the tops have bubbled up. its an easy fix cost>>2 dollars each

NO PICTURE, NO SOUND On My Plasma TV.

Should have been 3300 UF 10V caps that were bad? Shouls have been replaced with 3300UF 18V. 50V is huge. If it was replaced with a 50 the polarity may be wrong or the cap it too big to be seated property. Sometimes the caps just dry out and even a normal looking one will be the culprit of no OSD. Are you getting an LED fault code blinking? That should be a red led. Do you hear the relay clicking.? When you replaced the caps did you charge them? Just plugging in the set without trying to power it on for about 20-30 mins. I may be able to help you

Panasonic TH-42PX80U won't turn on.

You are missing 15volts. If this is a new TV, it could be as simple as a plug not fully seated on the power supply. Regardless, the repair should be covered by warranty and Panasonic is one of the best when it comes to taking care of the customer. Ifd nI can be of further assistance, let me know
