I am trying to use my scanner on my new computer and I lost my disk. what can i do to resolve it?

there is no driver yet for windows 7.but download scan gear and scan gear toolbox from here:http://software.canon-europe.com/products/0000473.asp  open properties,compatibility and run it in compatibility mode for xp sp2

sir you do not have to buy a new one.you can download its driver from the following link. click on the link below and enter the code from the image and download the file. install it and use your scanner.

My mp160 will not scan asks tells me cannot create temp files, not enough space on the disc ,check disk? what disc


Your hard drive. The scanner uses space on your hard drive. Do a clean disk and remove any files that you don't need. YOu probably need at least 100 mb free for the scanner

saved the money you wanted to charge and threw just threw the scanner in the trash. Cheaper to buy a new one.

"Lost" is lil confusing, lost physically, stopped working or rather not spinning or data lost?

If data appears 'lost' and if you have not formatted the drive, by connecting to another working drive as a slave, you can recover the data. If the disk stopped spiining there are h/disk speacialists, who can help you in retrieving the data. Try this beofre anything, press F8 at the tme of booting, select option, "safe mode with command prompt", run scandisk. Most of the normal problems get resolved this way.
