E270r Refresh Database error w/ version details error

I have the "refreshing database" error that seems to be common, however when I attempt to fix it, using the "e200fw01.00.12.exe" file, the following appears:

"Your device is connected in RECOVERY mode and is ready for upgrade. Please click "Next" to view version details and to continue with upgrade."
After i click next, it says
"ERROR! Application failed to read the version details."

Is there any way to fix the version details on the recovery drive, or to get a new .txt file, or is there some other solution?

Re: e270r Refresh Database error w/ version details error

Try putting the player into "msc" usb mode. "mtp" usually does that, but i've never hear of it being on the comp.

Good luck

"Refresh Database" never ends!

If you try to load too many songs onto the player initially, it may take up to an hour to get past Refresh database. Unfortunately, if you shut the player off while it is refreshing, it will more than likely ruin your player. Run the Sansa Recovery Tool or Update the Firmware on your Player as a workaround. Make sure the hold/lock switch isn't activated, just as a safeguard.

Sansa clip is stuck on Refresh Database Screen.

1ST: Just try to 'reset' by holding down the main center button AND pushing UP on the lock/off-on button, for about 8-9 seconds,
It will then 'refresh' the database, shouldn't lose anything,
MANY problems can be fixed ultimately by the following;
REFORMAT the SansaDisk Clip by finding it in My Computer and right click then just 'format' the thing. THEN drag and drop new music into it (or books), DRAG and DROP, you apparently erase the thing with a 'FORMAT' ....BUT - it's .sys files remain and it is like new {as in empty}
This usually fixes almost anything, should even erase a virus (I'm guessing) but shouldn't hurt it.
Good Luck!

Refresh database error

Used the Firmware Updater to get the latest firmware and this updated my Sansa E260 player which was in Recovery mode. The player then completed the refresh database process. No data was lost. The player is now functiining correctly.]

Refresh Database???

The application failed error means the you have a different version, not supported by this file.

You have a Rhapsody version.

You will need to contact SanDisk to have the recovery files sent to you.

Best of Luck.
