Question about Epson Artisan 700 InkJet Printer

Open Question

My Artisan 700 printer will not work. All the lights are flashing and telling me something about the CD/tray. It flashes on so fast I can't read what it says. Then tells me an error has occured and to turn off. I have not used the CD tray since I received the printer.

SOURCE: trouble codes - red and green light flashing alternately

The Waste Ink Pads in your printer are saturated with ink and the waste ink counter has exceeded its limit. The Waste Ink Pads should be replaced as soon as possible. You can overcome this problem temporarily by using the SSC utility - download from

http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml

and reset the Protection Counter. This will stop the lights flashing and restore normal operation. However, remember that eventually ink will overflow from the waste ink area and make a dreadful mess, so you must change the waste ink pads before this happens. This requires the disassembly of the printer. If you want to have a go at doing this yourself, the 820 service manual can be downloaded from here:

SOURCE: Everytime I turn my printer

when I turn my printer on (Epson Artisan 700 series printer) it waits for about 5 to 7 seconds and then displays a message that says "A scanner error has occured. Please see your documentation". Then all the lights start flashing, And then I cant do anything, but turn the printer off.

I have turned it off and unplugged it and tryed again always same result.

Hi,

It seems you have Eprom malfunction there.
You can flash its Eprom with its new Eprom file or just replace its Eprom chip and everything will back as normal. This is a common problem for this printer especially L series.
This type of printer often showing paper jam while there is no a single paper in its tray and the paper's sensor still working fine.
Hope this will answer your question.

My Epson Artisan 730 Printer keeps ejecting its CD/DVD Print tray, saying that there is a cd there. There, of course isn't. Can anyone help me? I really need to print.

My husband adjusted the CD/DVD tray, then we selected the icon that looks like a wrench on the printer's message window, then "restore default settings" on it. Turned computer off then on again, and it FINALLY started working again :)

My artisan 700 keeps pilling in multiple sheets and then jams.

hi there, il be glad to assist you.

If multiple pages feed at once, remove the paper from the tray, fan the edges to separate the sheets, then reload it. if Paper Jams Inside the Artisan 700 Series: Open the scanner. Remove the paper as shown, including any torn pieces. Squeeze the hooks and remove the cover inside the Artisan 700 Series. Remove the paper as shown, including any torn pieces Reattach the cover. Close the scanner. if after doing all of these still same issue persists, if the issue persists, call epson to get a replacement printer if the product is still 1 yr. from the date of purchase, if it is more than a year, most probably, thats out of warranty,
