Have aprilaire 600 with York furnace. There is no water flow to the device. Water is in the line leading up to the valve prior to the humidifier but none is going into the humidifier. Checked all the...

Since there is water at the inlet of the valve this indicates either a bad solenoid valve or no power is being apllied to the solenoid valve. You will need a multimeter to check, if there is power then then the valve is faulty and will need to be replaced, if no power at the valve then you will have to trace the circuit back to the transformer and see where the voltage stops. The voltage need to be checked when the Furnace blower motor is operating.

Hello, yes the transformer will get a 120 volts from the Furnaces control board, there should be a terminal labeled HUM on the control board. You need to bring 2 wires one from HUM and one from a nuetral tap on the board to the line side of the transformer, this way every time the blower motor on the Furnace turns on the humidifier will aswell.

The water runs constantly, not just when the furnace turns on.

Do you have a sail switch or current sensing relay with this humidifier? In order for the humidifer to turn on and off u need either a sail switch that senses airfllow in the return air duct and will turn off the humidifier when the blower motor stop or a current sensing relay that senses current on the blower motors common wire. I will post of pic of each one

My aprilaire won't turn on, no power and it looks like all the conections are good, and power outlet is getting power. Any suggestions?

You need either a sail switch or current sensing relay to turn the humidifier on and off when the blower motor turns on. They both accomplish the same thing but in differant ways, a sail switch senses the airflow in the return air duct and a current sensing relay senses the current from the blower motor.

Instructions on how to install the current sensing relay i had my furnace serviced and the tech told me this is what i need but if i can do it myself id rather the part is $60

You take the current sensing relay and put the blower motors common lead thru it, usually will be the white wire going from motor to control board. Then you take one of the wires from the current sensing relay and attach to humidistat and then take the other wire from current sensing relay and connect to transformer. This way everytime the furnaces blower motor turns on the humidifier will turn on and when the blower turns off so will the humidifier.

I dont know how to remove the blower motor

Hi, I need to know what type heater you have. If you have a furnace, gas fired in the garage or a closet, kill the power.Remove the panel to expose the blower motor. Mark your wires as you will have 3 to 4 for different speeds. There is a hex screw at the front corner of each side to remove.Grab the blower housing and slide it out of the furnace. To take the motor out of the blower wheel, loosen set screw on shaft. Use rust buster on 1/2 shaft. Loosen belly bracket on motor, and tap the shaft end until the motor falls out. If you have something different, please let me know what you have and I can help you.
Sincerely,

Furnace blower blows cold air

It is possible that you did not set the new blower on the proper speed. Black wire is high. Blue is medium. Red is low. If the fan is operating to slow it can run to hot and trip the high limit control. Make sure the filters are clean. When the old motor went bad, the problem might not have been discovered rite away your high limit control might need to be changed.
Also anytime you work on a furnace you can kick up some dust. Always clean the flame sensor.
Good Luck

George, make sure the belt is not loose flapping around making all that noise.

Not hard to change if you can get one from an hvac friend, they won"t sell to homeowners normally.
