Question about Xerox DocuColor 12 Color Copier
I have a Xerox DC12. Prints ok but the magenta is slightly faded and has 'drop outs'. I.e. If printing in red (100% Mag + 100% yel) there are random patches of yellow where magenta is missing. Can anyone help?
To troubleshoot , you should first replace toner cartridge, to ensure that is not a defective toner.
Following parts can be responsible:
Drum Unit Developer unit Fuser
If the problem repeats itself always in the same part of the page, this can tell you what the problem is. You have to measure distance between spots and confront with values for Xerox at the bottom of this chart. Transfer unit cannot cause this problem. If the problem is random, then the problem is usually magenta drum that must be replaced. If it is not the drum, then it is the high voltage board connected to the drum.
