SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: Users cannot print to network printer

Definately try to ping it. If you can ping it, then your raw port, usually 9100 has probably been changed. Set the configuation to print LPR with a queue name of HP1. Access this by highlighting the printer, right clicking it, select properties, select port, and select configure port.

Also be sure that the IP address is correct.

SOURCE: hp4350 prints multiple copies when only 1 requested

I have seen some reports of this problem, but I don't know of a definite 'cure", Seems like you've tried the obvious stuff already. My question would be, are you using PCL 5e, or PCL6 driver? The PCL 5e is the most compatible driver, and I know I have had a few strange things happen on different models using the PCL 6. It could just be a glitch in the driver, but I'd try the 5e just the same....that's my 2 cents worth.
For simplicity, you can download it here:

Please rate me if it helps :)

Even since we install the edimax server, the printer will just halt and we have to reset the spooler again

Setting the location of the spool folder By default the spool folder is located at systemroot\System32\Spool\Printers. However, this drive also holds the Windows system files. Because these files are frequently accessed by the operating system, performance of both Windows and the printing functions might be slowed.
If your print server serves only one or two printers with low traffic volumes, the default location of the spool folder is sufficient. However, for high-volume printing requirements, to support large numbers of printers, or to support large print jobs, you should relocate the spool folder. For best results, move the spool folder to a drive that has its own controller, which reduces printing's impact on the rest of the operating system.
For information on relocating the print server spool folder, see Change the spool folder location.

To set up a printer to print to multiple devices
  1. Open Printers and Faxes.

  2. Right-click the printer you are using, and then click Properties.

  3. On the Ports tab, select the Enable printer pooling check box.

  4. Click each port where the printers you want to pool are connected.
Notes
  • To open Printers and Faxes, click Start, and then click Printers and Faxes.

  • With printer pooling, the printers must be the same type of printer using the same printer driver.

  • The previous procedure assumes the printers you want to pool are already in the Printers and Faxes folder.
  • Check for print jobs in que, this can cause the printer to spool if a print job is in que.

Hi melocoton777,
You can try these steps:

1.Check if the firewall is blocking any printer services 2.Check what port the printer is using (reenable the bi-directional support) and if it's on online mode 3.Disable all the firewalls 4.Uninstall the printer driver and software, then unplug the usb cable. 5.Delete any items under the ff keys: HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86\Drivers\Version-2 HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86\Drivers\Version-3 HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet001\Control\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86\Drivers\Version-2 HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet001\Control\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86\Drivers\Version-3 Optional*** 6.Delete any non default items under the ff keys: Note: ONLY THE NON DEFAULT ITEMS SHOULD BE DELETED HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Monitors HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet001\Control\Print\Monitors Default items are as follows: AppleTalk Printing Devices BJ Language Monitor Local Port PJL Language Monitor Standard TCP/IP Port USB Monitor Windows NT FAx Monitor ***** 7.Delete any items under the ff keys: HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Printers HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet001\Control\Print\Printers 8.Completely remove drivers by doing the ff: (Option for comm failure because of the upgrade from xp to vista) Ensure there are no documents in queue. Disconnect printer’s USB cable. Click the Start pearl, then click All programs, Printers, Dell xxx (where “xxx” is the printer model number) and then Uninstall. Complete the uninstall utility. From the start search box type spool and press. NOTE: IF YOU HAVE OTHER PRINTER INSTALLED ON THE COMPUTER DON'T RENAME THE W32X86 FOLDER. JUST PROCEED WITH RESTARTING WITH THE COMPUTER;
The spool folder located at c:\windows\system32\spool opens. Rename c:\windows\system32\spool\drivers\w32X86 to c:\windows\system32\spool\drivers\backup. Rename c:\windows\system32\spool\prtprocs\W32X86 to c:\windows\system32\spool\prtprocs\backup. 9.Restart the computer. 10.Check th services status Start-Run- Type Services.msc and Click on Open You will see long list of services You need to make sure following 4 Services are set to Automatically start Remote Procedure Call RPC Remote Procedure Call RPC Locater LexBce Server Print Spooler 11.Reinstall the latest printer driver
just send me an update if the issue would be same.

Spooled documents get deleted

Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

One suggestions would be to update the firmware of the Netgear Wireless print server Download the firmware for your print server from Netgear's website http://kbserver.netgear.com/release_notes/d102781.asp Instructions for upgrade are on the site! you can also try changing the spool settings, Set it to Print directly to printer RightClick on the printer click on properties and click the advanced tab. Change the spool setting to print directly to printer!! If this doesn't work kindly let me know! regards, babb

I had the same problem - to fix it, I disabled "Enable Bi-Directional Support" under the printer's properties (in windows, right click on the printer in "Printers and Faxes", go down to properties).

Worked like a charm.
