Need scsi/raid drivers on floppy to install winxp pro (at f6 prompt)

Hello the drivers can be downloaded here:

You need to unzip the file before you install the driver.
It should not be nessesary to install drivers before installing the windows system.
Check your bios boot settings to boot from the cdrom or dvd drive.
The cd or dvd drive must be the first boot device in order to boot from the windows disk.
Install windows with only one harddrive.
You can also add a harddrive later, when the installation is done and all drivers is installed.

Good luck

I have a KBT Neo-V MS-7032 V 1.0 motherboard that has problems booting from newer CD/DVDs. Some older CDs will boot such as the XP Pro installation disk. However, my Acronis backup restore disk and my...

Whether a CD will boot or not really decided by th emotherboard, it is decided by the basic control program called BIOS. BIOS works in a simple way by, if set to boot from a CD or DVD, checks whether the disk is bootable and, if so, boots from it.

First ensure that the discs you are using are all bootable.

Bootable Backup Restore and Partition Manager disks only work if data partitions already exist on the hard drive.

Bootable operating system discs can boot whether there is any data or partitions on the hard drive or not.

Partition Manager software can be used inside windows, to create, delete, resize and copy existing partitions. In other words, install and run the program from your Windows desktop.

Look here for guidance on creating bootable CDs

I hope this helps.

Suggest you connect the plextor to the SATA port 3 and set it's jumper to Master. All SATA drives are seen as Master drives. (Check the serial number on your WD SATA drive "Primary".
Enter the bios menu. Within page 3-7 section 3-3 Advanced bios features. Check, 1st, 2nd and third boot devices.
Floppy disk drive as, 1st boot device. 2nd boot device, "Primary WD SATA port 1". 3rd boot device, CD-ROM drive SATA port 2, Plextor 880sa drive". Save and exit the bios. If you no longer have you're manual you can download it from the link provided below;
Check page 3-13. See OnChip serial ATA Mode. As noted, the RAID option is available when the item "OnChip serial ATA" is set as [Enhanced Mode].

Start or restart your computer. At the Sony screen, press the [Delete] key or whatever key the Sony screen says to make changes. This should take you to the BIOS. Across the top, choose "BOOT" or "BOOT ORDER" and make your optical drive (CD/DVD drive) first. That way, the Windows install disk will get to run first. Press F10 to save and exit. Make sure the Windows install disk is in the drive and follow the prompts to install windows on the restart.

Boot failure asus a7v 133 motherboard installed a pci sata raid

Hi whistler1410, you need to enter your bios menu. Press the delete key every couple of seconds to load the bios menu.

Once in the bios (See instructions located at the bottom of the menu, to help you move about).
You should see all connected drives at the main menu.
This includes the SATA writer & hard disk drives.
Go to the bios menu, BOOT.
SATA drive even DVD drives are seen by the bios as a master drive. So within the BOOT menu go to "Boot device priority".
The boot priority should read as follows.

First boot device [Floppy disk drive] (If one is connected)
Second boot device [Your SATA DVD writer]
Third boot device [Your primary hard disk drive] (The drive with windows loaded on it).
If you do not have a floppy disk drive than make the first boot device your DVD writer.
Save the bios & exit the bios. You should not receive "boot disk error message anymore".

Run into a problem, post here.
Good luck whistler1410!
