Question about ViewSonic VX724 17" LCD Monitor
I have a viewsonice VX724 LCD monitor and the contrast menu keep popping up, set itself to 0 and stay open. There's no driver for my product and i've already tried the VX715 drivers which is a previous version of the same monitor. I have also turn off the monitor multiple times without any result. If a hold the "up arrow" the contrast goes back to what i had it set to but few sec after it goes back down to 0. The only way i can close the menu is if i hold "1"(exit/menu) + "up arrow" , which set the contrast then close the menu and then pop a message saying "White Balance" but few sec after it goes down again.
Sound like i'll have to ask for a RMA but any other solution would gladly be welcome.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: Poping up settings automatically
you have to open the back cover and first clean-up the pcb by sucking all dust use a vacuum cleaner check the microprocessor IC clean the area by soft brush then resolder if necessary. check the PCB.

When you have strange problems like this, the first place to look will be the power supply/inverter board, look for caps with leaking/bulging tops.
