Hi, my name is Daniel George and I have just purchased a new Toshiba Satellite notebook computer. My problem is that I am having problems downloading Yahoo Messenger. The problem I am experiencing is that I will begin the install and approximately 4-6% it will send me a message stating that the program has been cancelled and was unable to complete. At that time the percentage bar will then shoot across to 100% and it will send a message stating that the specified location path is unable to be opened. We have purchased your product and thought that would be able to help our problem, however, it was ineffective. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Re: problems downloading yahoo messenger
First of all you will need to remove whatever files have been downloaded for yahoo already. The files are located in C:\Program Files\Yahoo! Do this through explorer. (You could also do a search if they are not there.) Then go to http://downloads.yahoo.com/ and download mozilla firefox. After installed use this application to access the internet. Then type the link into the address bar http://downloads.yahoo.com/ and now download messenger. This should hopefully fix your problem.

Head to the Yahoo Web site (see Resources below) to begin the account creation process.
Click on the 'Sign Up' link on the home page to begin the account creation process.
Fill in all of the required fields on the page that opens. This will include your name and some additional personal information, as well as your choice for a screen name and password. If your screen name choice already exists, then you'll need to choose an alternative, or pick from the suggestions that Yahoo provides.
Click the 'Sign Up' button again once your account is ready. This will make your Yahoo profile active.
Download Yahoo Messenger
Proceed to the Yahoo Messenger Web site. You will click the 'Messenger' link on the Yahoo home page or you can head directly to the Messenger Web site (see Resources below).
Click the 'Get Started' link on the Messenger home page. This will redirect you to the download page for the latest version of Yahoo Messenger.
Wait a few seconds for the download to automatically begin, or press 'Click Here' in Step 1 of the Yahoo Messenger download page. This will open the dialog box that begins the download.
Double-click the Yahoo Messenger executable once the download completes to begin the installation process.
I'm using a Toshiba satellite notebook A200, which I faced the same problem like you saying my built- in webcam cannot operate after I clicked on the drop down list from the windows live messenger to have a webcam conversation. Another program is running the webcam at startup. That program is called Camera Assistant Software which is the conflicting software. Therefore I closed this software and I'm able to use my webcam again in my webcam conversation in windows live messenger. I hope this information will help you.Good Luck!
Run the program, it will explain how to make a boot CD which you will use to start your computer and fix the problem that makes it say Wrong Machine.
Once this is done you can use the recovery cd's again.
