Question about HP PSC 1410 All-In-One InkJet Printer
The printer keeps saying there is a problem with the printer cartridges. We've tried removing them & new cartridges. We cant do anything else because it won't let us.

try cleaning the circuit of the cartridge and the printer with a tissue paper.or you have to replace the cartridge and have to buy genuine hp cartridge.as the non hp is not getting detected because the circuit is faulty in that non hp cartridge.ask the shopkeeper to replace the cartridge with another same non hp cartridge.he should give you the another replacement cartridge as his cartridge is faulty.or tell him to get checked that non hp cartridge in other f380 printer if he would be having.and if the cartridge is working in another printer there is a problem in printer.
but as per my knowledge and experience its because there is dust either on the cartridge or on the printers circuit where u install the cartridge.try cleaning the contacts gently.it should work.

SOURCE: 4315 Hp Printer will not align.
restart your printer like this: go to control panel>
performance and maintenance>administrative tools> services> scroll down until you come to print spooler, click on this then on the upper side of your screen you will see restart, click on it.
This should get you up and running. Shame on your repair man for not showing you how to fix the problem.
You could even try not aligning the cartridges, this will just cause your printer to spit out an alignment page each time you turn it on but still should go ahead and print for you.
let me know how if this helps.
