Can I disconnect battery cables on bmw545i and drive 50 miles to pass emissions teST?

Probably not. Almost all newer cars have to have the battery attached to keep running, once its detached or dies, it will most likely stop running fairly soon, if not right away.

Intel D102GGc2 shows disk read error when detached sata dvd writer and xp boot when attached the same

Hi. if you're getting the same 'disk read error' when the DVD drive is attached and detached, then the error relates to the hard disk, that you're supposedly trying to install XP onto.
Ultimately you want the board to boot the DVD drive first. A quick change to the 'Boot priority' in the BIOS should sort it.

Canon eos 1000d flash not working

To the left and the right of the hot shoe (where your speed light slides) are two rails. On the end are two springs. `one is connected to a switch indicating there is an external speed light connected.
If on is kept in place the spring will keep telling I have an external speed light. Check what spring is not back in the correct position.
Look from the backside to the front.

Alert! Chipset heat sinknot detected. System Halted.

There is a heat-sink that is attached to the video chip on the motherboard. The restraining clap that holds it in place is probably detached.

Built in flash will not pop up. in menu the message reads external flash is attached, but no external flash is attached!!!

Hardware, not software.

Look at the hot shoe. The two metal tracks where your external flash slides on have a flexible strip under them which is pressed down when the flash is attached. Something is probably stuck in there, holding them down and closing the circuit that tells the camera the flash is attached.

Try sliding the corner of a business card or other stiff paper in there to dislodge whatever is keeping it down. Probably something as tiny as a grain of sand or other grit it causing the problem.

Changed battery in remote for prestige aps620 not it doesn't work

Hello

BATTERY REPLACEMENT

The transmitter incorporates a small LED visible through the case which is used to indicate battery

condition. You will notice a decrease in transmitter range as the battery condition deteriorates.

Transmitter battery replacement is recommended at least every 10 to 12 months, depending upon how

frequently the transmitter is used.

To replace the battery in the APS620TX:

1) Remove the small # 0 Phillips head screw from the rear of the case.

2) Remove the rear cover to access the discharged battery paying attention to the proper polarity

orientation.

3) Carefully remove and properly dispose of the discharged battery.

4) Insert the new battery, close the case, then reinstall the small case screw removed in step 1.

5) If you accidently dislodge the circuit board from the transmitter housing, be certain that the rubber

membrane is seated properly, and the buttons are properly exposed from the front view of the case,

then insert the circuit board, and return to step #4.

APS620TX Uses GP23 Battery

CAUTION: CARBON MONOXIDE GAS CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY AND EVEN DEATH

It is the sole responsibility of the user to operate the vehicle this system is installed in a safe manner.

partially enclosed areas. Also this device must be placed in the service mode when dropping the vehicle
off for service to prevent injury to the service technician
These are the information about the battery replacement to your device. There is no other details given. Check the battery contacts inside the remote for any dirt or rust, which prevents the good contact for batter y terminals. If there is, clean it . OK.

How do I install this device? I connected a white

You have almost got it, but the wires aren't separate the correct way. On one side of the device your going to have your power. The side that's power will have two brass colored screws. You need to find your power wire and splice two wires to it then connect those two wires to your device on the power side this should leave you with two wires. If you happen to have two white wires now, you are going to splice them together with a third wire (called a pigtail just as you did with the blacks on the power side). Now on the non-power side the screw colors should be brass and silver. You will attach your white wire or bundle of white wires using the pigtail to the silver screw. This is the neutral for your receptacle. Then the black that goes out to your light will get attached to the brass screw. The problem you had was then a neutral was being attached to the switch as well as the receptacle and a switch requires no neutral, a switch is simply a break in the power line.
