Question about AT&T CECT Unlocked i68+ Quadband GSM FM Mobile Phone+Free gift Smartphone

2 Answers

I have a Sciphone 168+ 3.0a and have two problems I cannot solve. The first problems is I cannot figure out how to download and install Java on the phone. I copied the Java software to the sicphone memory card. The Quick Guide instructions that came with the phone tell me to locate the Java Software and tap the Options button to install. I did this but there is nothing in the options menu that allows me to install the software. The second problem I have is that I am unable to make a phone call using the phone book. When I go to the phone book I tap on the name of the person I want to call, tap the phone number, tap options and, the only thing that comes up is a menu that will only allow me to Edit, Delete, or cancel. The only way I can make a phone call is to either dial the number or, if the person previously called, I can use the Call History to redial. Any help you can offer will be appreciated. Thank You. Regarding the Java Install problem:

    The options button includes the following:
    Open-New folder-Format-Rename-Details

    I may be installing the software incorrectly or, I may not be installing the correct Java Version.

    The options button for the phone book allow me to only:

    With my former AT&T Razor phone, I was able to easily make calls using the phone book. Not so with this Sciphone and it really is frustrating to have to dial each person I need to call. That kind of defeats the purpose of the Phone Book feature.

Ask at - they have a more detailed manual. I guess you will not need to install Java, just some additional applications. In my understanding you will need to copy the jar files to the phone (via USB or bluetooth) and just need to double click them in the phones File Explorer. They should run then automatically.

Pls leave a good rating.

I9+++ sciphone internet in chinese

Download Opera Mini (I use version 3.1.0) to your computer and transfer to your phone with the included USB cable. Then install it as a Java app. DON'T use your phone to download it or your internet will still be in chinese. Opera also helps solve the insufficient memory errors you get when trying to view large pages, since it has a way of compressing them. Had this same problem and searched everywhere for a solution. This is the only one that works.

I have a Sciphone i68+ I wa installing java games one game I was installing said corrupt file do you ant to delete I deleted that file next thing I know I can't install any games,I tried ti re-install...

From the way you described your problem it seems that your jar reader on your phone has been deleted. You can try update phone software. It re-installs Jar reader. If it does not then I'll provide you with a link from where you can re-install jar reader on phone through pc.

How to open my sciphone gprs???? how to install java games???

To open the GPRS for the settings just go to Service or Network or Internet, not all Sciphone have the same name. after tapping the icon, go to Data Account and then GPRS, and from here change the profile to your wireless carrier set up. To install Java you need to create a folder and name it Java, it needs to be under Mass Storage in the File manager folder. Now, once you have the java file in your computer, don't decompress it, just drag and drop to the Java folder that you just created. To install the file, tap on File manager, Mass Storage, Java, and then tap on the file that you wan to install, when it open, it will prompt you to install, just tap on Install and follow instructions. Good luck.
