Question about Harman Kardon AVR 235 Receiver
We had a power failure inthe neighborhood , and after the power came on my amp would not go out of stand by, (orange light)
Disconnect the main power to the receiver and let it set for 15 minutes or so, this will allow the capacitors to discharge fully. If the receiver did not suffer transformer damage, it should turn back on. If you don't have a good surge protection unit with line conditioning like Panamax or Furman, get one! It will save you $$$ in the long run. Hope this helps.

Frank Fulton's unplugging solution worked for an AVR 110. It was unplugged for 24 hours and then powered right up. I believe problem started with a lightning strike and not surge protector. Excellent solution for me.
