Question about Troy Bilt 5.5hp Self Propelled Mower
We just got a new troy mower. The 1st we used it it started right away. It has got worse since we have had it 6 weeks today I can not even get it to start. We have had it in the shop once already. This is ridiculous what is the problem. We have already been told new gas is a must. We have done that.
Depending what type of carburetor is on the mower, it may need to be rebuilt or a new diaphragm to help pump fuel. Plus check replacing the air filter, If it is paper filter, change it, If it is foam clean it out with soap and water and dry it out before putting it back in.
Also try a product called "Seaform" in your gas, you can get it at an automotive supply store.
