Question about Televison & Video

Phillips 25x614-00a tv sits for awhile shows a brilliant picture but then starts getting louder until it reaches maximum. i try to turn it down but it just automatically turns back up. then it counts channels backward until it reaches the end and starts all back over. i turn it off but the button does not work. finally i am able to turn it off and it does with a bright light in the center as it goes off. it automatically turns back on as soon as i take my finger off the button. i have to unplug it before it will remain off.

do not have a remote everything is done manually. when i saw the light in the middle of the screen as it turned off i was thinking that i had some yoke problems .

that sounds very possible but when i unplug it and plug it back up it does not automatically come back on and when it does it does not automatically start doing the same thing until a few minutes and then it starts back up. i am not sure but it sounds like a component is at its breaking point and is getting hot and going into a different function. it seems to cool down but after it gets warm enough it starts to act back up again. i have known resistors to do this but which one could it be.

Most probably you are using a remote to operate the TV. The remote fas some key depressed constantly, hence the signal from the remote is malfunctioned. Get another remote, a universal one, and everything should work as earlier...................sodeep

If you do not use a remote then one of the buttons on the TV is remaining constantly in contact, not allowing changes, since that locked button i A cleaning with alcohol to remove carbon deposits may clear it, but ask the repairman to rectify it so as to get a warranty for at least 3 months......sodeep

It starts after getting heated due to loose contact. That's why the disturbance comes after 10-20 minutes.........................................sodeep

Tries to turn over then wont let it sit awhile then it starts

It could be starter heatsoak (starter gets hot from engine heat and needs to cool down first).
You can fix it by putting heat wrap on the starter.

Fryer overflows often, turned thermostat down from 350 to approx 340 but food does not cook then. could the thermostat be bad? 10 degrees should not make that much difference.

Does the fryer have a" temperature reached light"? If so switch the fryer on and with the thermostat dial starting at its lowest setting increase the temperature setting in small increments. When the light indicates temperature reached, increase the thermostat dial temperature. Continue until maximum temperature reached.

If (starting from cold) the temerature reached light only shows when high up on the thermostats temperature scale, then unfortunately the thermostat needs replacing.

Hope this helps.

You shouldn't need to replace 2 pumps,or even one. It shouldn't whine, where you hear it, driving.
I would change the steering rack, flush the cooler and pump. Still got a whine ,your getting bad rebuilt pumps

Looses video

There are so many thing that can cause this to happen. If you answer some questions we can narrow it down some. 1) when the picture goes black if you hit the menu button on the mitsubishi remote or on the front of the tv itself does the menu show up? 2) After it goes dark how do you get it back? do you turn it off and let it sit for awhile or can you turn it off and then right back on to get a picture? 3) what is the model number? this can be found on the back of the set. If you can answer these questions we can go forward.

Thanks!

Clicking noise when turning on the tv. Everything works but the clicking.

When you turn your tv off turn it off using the remote control then turn off the tvs switch itself... Try this for a few days hope it works for you.

Try holding the power on button down until you hear a series of beeps, each one representing your ps3 switching video modes. try this until you get a picture on your screen, then you can use the options to set it to your tv's resolution. I've seen this same problem often from people holding the button when they turn it on :3.

Hope this helps.
