Question about Kitchen Ranges
The oven worked fine (propane) Now it won't ignite. I don't know what caused this. This is located in a rental property so I don't know anything except what they told me. The top burners work fine but the oven does not. What could cause this? Is there a pilot light, or some kind of safety switch in case they ran out of fuel ? I realize I don't have much info so anything will help. Also what are some good ways to troubleshoot this? Thank you.
The gas valve has gone bad replace valve and igniter at the same time the older igniter will not have a value (ohm) to pull in the new valve.you will also have to turn on burner after installing new parts and adjust the flame using the brass fitting on the valve going to the burner assembly.but before you replace any thing make sure you have fuel to the range good luck

It sounds like your propane line is obstructed or your igniter has failed. If your igniter has failed, the propane will not flow until a heat source, from your igniter, has heated a sensor to let the unit know to allow propane to flow. If the propane line is obstructed, it is probably a spider web or eggs from an insect. A pipe cleaner is the best way to remove these obstructions. It would be advisable to have a qualified technician look at your unit.
