Walk up to the phone and press "*" or TRANSFER without picking up the handset. If you press it 3 times, you will get the 3 states of the display.

This works on the TA series systems (*) or TAW/TDA (TRANSF) systems.

My office has the Prostar 816 phone and the manual is not detailed at all.. I needed to know how to change the time (due to time change) Our manual says #55 etc etc... Help me please!

To change the time on a prostar 816 you first need to be at a display set (doesn't matter what the extension number is).
with the handset down, enter #20 the screen should say MMC DISABLED
1) enter in 1 2 3 4 1 # (that enables programming2.gif)
2) enter in #55 the screen should say YYMMDDWHHMM
3) enter in the year, month, day, day of the week, hours and minutes(the day of the week values are 1= mon. 2= tues. etc.)
press # when finished.

How do i set the time?

  • Programming should be done from the M7310, M7324 or the T7316E set. Administration access code: Feature * * 2 3 6 4 6 which also is Feature * * A D M I N.
    If asked for a password enter the same 2 3 6 4 6.

    If that doesn't work you may have the newer Compact ICS or the Modular 0x32 control unit which will be Feature * * 8 4 6 3 which is T I M E. Password is 2 2 7 4 2 which is B A S I C or A D M I N which is 2 3 6 4 6.
When in programming2.gif just press the next button(lower right arrow) until you see what you want to change. Then press show ( top right arrow) ,then change if you want to change it. If you pass it, just press back (lower left)
Example: To change the Time & Date Press next until you see Time & Date. Then show Then change Then change again, change it if you need to, Then next again until you see what you need to change. For example; only the hour needs to be changed for day light savings time. Just press next until you come to the Hour. Then Change it. Then press release RLs when your done.
on older systems like the 616 or 8x24, when you enter in the login and password the screen will display "A configuration", press next til you see "B general admin" press the show key the display should say "1 speed dial", press the next key til you see "3 time and date"press your show key and follow the earlier directions
