Question about Sony VAIO Digital Studio PCV-RX660 PC Desktop
I have a sony pcv-v1/g for which I have just bought a 1gb RAM card. How do I get the back off? There are 2 tabs that you push up but it doesn't release. There are 4 screws in the underside of the base. Should I undo these?
Easy! Tip the screen forward and you'll see a Phillips screw towards the top of each end of the lump that sits at the base of the back of the screen. Undo both of these THEN the 2 tabs you refer to can be pushed in the direction of the arrows and the whole top of 'the lump' then comes off. The memory is under the silver colored cover held down by 2 pieces of sticky tape(!). Remove tape. Remove cover. 2 slots are exposed. One has 512 in it. Put 512 in the other one! Easy!
