Nintendo ds lite keeps shutting off

you probably have a power shortage when you move the screen. the only way to fix this is to open the ds, make sure everything is in the right place, and put it back together. i cant promise this will work, but it should.

Scratches on both screens and right hindge is broken

You need to buy a new DS. The cost of the screens and the time put into trying to fix it would be more than buying a new DS.

Ds lite

To remove the top external casing first you have to separate the top part from the bottom part of the DS by dissasembling the bottom part and unplugging the top screen ribbon and the white and black wires, then slide these cables through the hinge hole to separate the parts.

Then you must take out the 4 screws under the cover pads in the screen side, and slide the screen side from the external side so the screen side should move like 5mm from the external side and then you would be able to separate both and see the screen, mic and speakers.

If you flashed your DS Lite this is the classic problem. A DS Lite NEVER EVER NEEDS TO BE FLASHED!!

What you can attempt to do is remove the Bios from your non-working console and clear it using unflash or a similar utility. Do a Google search and you will find the instructions.

You will need a working DS lite to correct the problem.
Thank you, Bob

Bottom screen scrambled on nintendo ds lite

This option is only suitable for out of warranty devices as opening it violates the warranty.

Open the device following this info:
How to dismantle an Original Nintendo DS.

If yours is the NDS Lite, just find this video in youtube:
"Disassembling Nintendo DS Lite"

The bottom screens have 2 wrap wires, one big and visible, that is the screen cable, the other is small and not so obvious and this one is for the touch screen and you dont want to get it broken.

The cable connectors release the cable by lifting ot pulling the brown or black lock and be sure to remember how it was connected so you can know the right position of the cable when connected right not having any problem with loosen cables before you finish.

Good Luck...

My nintendo ds lite top screen isn't working properly

Top LCD's flex cable that passes through right-hand hinge into bottom part of case will be damaged or not properly seated in its connector socket.
