Question about JVC HD-61FN97 61" Television

Open Question

How do I manually adjust overscan on a JVC HD-61FN97

I have massive overscan when sending 1080p output from my PC. Is there a screw or knob inside the HDTV which can reduce the picture size, so I can remove this overscan? I don't care if the other inputs are messed up in the process, as I only use this as a PC monitor.

A smaller issue is the picture is off center a bit, so I have to reduce the resolution even more to account for the misalignment of the projector. Can this be adjusted as well?

To be clear, I have electronics experience and don't mind removing the back panel and tinkering around to fix this issue.

SOURCE: jvc hdmi????

Changing the output to digital only affectts the audio output stream such as Dolby Digital or DTS audio. Try turning on the DVD player first then the television and see if then it sees the DVD player. Otherwise using the component outputs most will never see the difference n picture quality. Good luck.

SOURCE: HDMI no longer working

Hey, it is another service menu screen. you access it the same way, except push the sleep timer button until you see 30 min, then push display and video status. self check is #2. if any of the categories has "NG" followed by a number, that means that the is an error. See what you can find out.

SOURCE: JVC HD52FA97 PC input won't fill screen.

Check your manual to see what it says about picture aspect for PC input.  My Panasonic looks the same way that you describe and the manual says it is supposed to look that way for PC input.

Magnavox 37MF337B/37 overscan only sometimes problem

This TV has a pixel resolution of 1366x768p

It will accept a 1920x1080i input from a high def source , but running a PC at 1920x1080i/p will cause the problems you describe, depending on what the PC is sending to the TV, because PC signals are not the same as high def.

Your PC should be set to a resolution as near to 1366x768 as possible. My PC allows 1280x768 and 1360x768. Try one of these for best results.

There are no settings on the TV to solve this problem.
