There are a couple of things you have to do. After you've updated (as you have) go to Settings>General>About and check that your carrier version is AT&T 5.5
Next, you can try doing an almost full reset. To do this, connect to iTunes, then go to the Summary Tab. Next, click Restore and allow it to use your most recent backup when prompted. This could take a while. Next disconnect your iPhone, go to Settings>General>Reset All Settings>enter your PIN if prompted, then have another go at MMS. Be warned, this will reset all of your settings and preferences as well as some other things like network settings and passwords will be lost, and your apps will be arranged alphabetically again. Your media such as contacts, songs, calendars, other media won't be lost.
Is it not allowing you to insert the picture, or is it just failing to send?

Mms cannot rceived

iPhone 3G has an older OS and I don't think it supports MMS. You could try to do a software update to see if a newer OS includes a better IM client that supports MMS, or you could upgrade your phone to a 4 or better and those will definitely support it. Be forewarned, if your current phone is running the original version of IOS that came with it, upgrading to a newer OS will make it feel slower as newer OSes have more features and stuff going on. Alas, the iPhone 3G is 5 generations ago, you really should upgrade to a newer phone.

I tried to enable mms on my 2g. I installed Native MMS2g and I reset the phone. Now it will not turn on. The little apple icon comes up but the phone never turns on.

To enable MMS on your iPhone 3G you just need to go to
Settings >> General >> Network >> Cellular Data Network

Then Under MMS, enter the following details:
  • APN:
  • Username: leave blank
  • Password: leave blank
  • MMSC:
  • MMS Proxy:
  • MMS Max Message Size: leave blank
  • MMS UA Prof URL: leave blank
Once entered, reboot your iPhone.
Go to Messages. There you will find the sweet little camera icon to the left of the text input box.
Congratz you have enabled MMS on iPhone 3G OS 3.0 for T-Mobile. You can use that icon to send Pictures, Audios and Videos to your loved ones at the same price as of a Text Message means NO additional charges for MMS on T-Mobile Network.

I have the iphone 3G and i dont know how to view the picture messages that are sent to me, how do i view them?

They should show up just like a text message. If you have not updated the phone to the latest carrier settings then the mms will not work. Simply connect the phone to itunes and it will ask you if you want to update (not just the standard update, but update carrier settings). After the update is complete, you may need to reset the phone for the mms to take effect

I downloaded and MMS app frim cydia, and now my phone wont start

basicly you need to do a software restore or update on your Iphone. When using Itunes 8.2 you can just select your Iphone and in the summary select either restore or update. I would recommend that you update it seeing that the software version 3 does allow mms

Cant use mms on my 3g iphone

You won't be able to send MMS on your iphone unless it's "unlocked" or as they call it "jailboken"...but I would not recommend this! You can send a picture through an email...just send the picture as an attachment. Just send it like you would any email on your computer.
