Plug off the wall, open the top of the machine, check to see if any wires have come loose in the door lock area, tighten up.

I was replacing my boot seal because it was torn like many others here. I discovered why my washer had been shaking as well. There are springs that are anchored to help balance the barrel and one of them had come unanchored. The stake that anchored one of the springs had wiggled out. I just put it back in and now my seal is replaced and the washer is balanced again. Although I appear to have a small leak somewhere still so I am still searching online for answers.

Wow...does it sound like it's about to take. You can hear it all over the house even with the door to the room closed? We have the same reason. THis started after a bout of lice in the house and we were doing many loads a day for a while. Help!
