Lost pass work to conect to wireless router trying to set up wireless for tablet

you will need to reset the d-link router then re-configure your router again. however, you will need to be hard wired to do this re-config of your dilink router. either your O.S or your router may not let you re-config unless it is hard wired to it its a safety thing built into both.

Got a netgear wireless modem from a friend and she

The Netgear site should have to software to download, but with the Router connected to the computer you really should be able to connect to the router's onboard software by, using Web Address and logging in to the router. Use User Name admin and leave the password blank. Go ahead and set up all the goodies you need, like Security and Pass Codes. I have4 bee4n using a Netgear Router in my home network for many years and have no complaints! This software is the exact same software they have on the setup disk.

Can't acess laptop computer but can see on desktop

To allow access between both the laptop and desktop the hard drives or folders on both computers must be made shareable.
Right click on the C drive or folders or other hard drive then click on Sharing and Security - Sharing. Then in Network Sharing and security - tick Share this folder on the network and enter a share name that identifies this computer and drive/folder.

How to install belkin G router via download? Eee pc notebook has no disk drive..

I just looked up the Eee notebook on Amazon and it has a disk drive, but I might have looked at a different model. But you might just get a jump drive, download whatever firmware or such that you need and put it on the flash drive, then move the flash drive over to the Eee and upload to the Belkin router from there. Good luck!

No Active Internet Connection

If you want to use the wireless portion of your router, you would need a wireless adapter installed on your desktop. If you are getting internet on your desktop then this means that your wired connection is fine to the router is fine. The WMP54G adapter will work with your router, however if you are not planning on connecting to the internet wirelessly through the router then there is no need to purchase the adapter. Hope that this helps you out.
