The kick start broke or did the shaft that the kick start bolts to?, if the shaft broke, you will need to remove the case and replace the shaft. as for the case, depends on how bad it broke, some people can weld alum. but i would buy a new case. and then install kick start on new shaft

SOURCE: huskt tc250 broken inner an outter case round kick start

Obviously, new casings would be the best option, but another option you have is to take the parts to a commercial welding shop and have them Heiliarc weld the casings. Alternate to that, you could try Googling motorcycle salvage Husqvarna to see if you can get some used parts. The bad thing about a busted inner casing is that you should change out the inner casings as a matched set. Sometimes the casings don't line up perfectly if only replacing one side and the result is shafts that freeze up when you tighten down the screws. Please rate my answer. Thanks.

Depending on what make of vehicle you referring to most transfer cases today have a electric silenoid lock.on the top of the case shouldn't be no lever.everything is electrical unfortunately the only way to find out if it's bad is to take it to your local tranny shop...they do transfer cases too.the electrical part isn't all that expensive.but the labor is..the only other thing it could be is the fork inside the case is broke.this fork slides the to gears to make up high and low ratios.kinda like a 10 speed bike.hope this helps

Kick start goes down without turning the motor over and does not come back up without assistance.

the spring inside either broke or came off the side case will have to be removed to see what the problem is.

Cable broke on my 1997 jeep cherokee, how do i pop the hood?

depends on where it broke if it broke off on the release end inside you can take off the kick panel and remove the release bracket then go up about 3-4 inches and cut the casing around the cable and grab the cable with a pair of pliers and pop the hood. then you can replace the assembly with a new one.
