It could be that you have some sediment build-up that has clogged the sediment screens on your supply hoses. You'll need to remove them from both the supply valve and the washer to get everything cleaned out and working properly again.

Turn off the water supply valves to both the cold and hot water hoses and remove them from the washer and the supply valve. Check inside the washer water inlets and see if there are sediment screens inside the hot and cold water inlets. If so, remove them using a small pick so you can flush them out of any debris, as you want them as clean as possible. Also check the hoses to see if they have screens in them at both ends, if so, remove them and clean them too.

Put everything back and you should be all set. IF, however, there isn't any sediment buildup in the screens and hoses, you'll have to replace the washer's water inlet valve, as it controls the flow of water into the washing machine.

As you didn't provide a model number for your washer, you'll have to go to www.searspartsdirect.com and enter in the full, complete model number so you can check for any replacement parts you might need. The site also has a line drawing and parts lists for appliances, so it's helpful when you're undertaking a repair.

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!

Hi, I have whirlpool SM 8525147-A washing machine. The problem is that when I try to wash the clothes the water enters the machine and immediately drains out.

is there a stand pipe for the drain . at least as tall as the machine behind it close to the wall. if not then that is the problem . if the is it might need an addition of a siphon break .

Just purchased crofton sm 102 steam mop. instructions say will steam when light turns green. ok, it steams for about 10 seconds and thats it!!!!!! tried several times with same results

I had the same problem. Seems the little gizmo in the base that pushes up the water release valve is set a bit too low. With the water tank removed, you'll see a plastic circle with a plastic "x" in the middle. A tiny drop of glue on the "x" to raise the level a bit did the trick for me.

MAchine fills slowly. Have cleaned the screens.

Check the solenoid. You can swap the hot and cold water hoses and set the wash for hot but cold will come out. Then you can see if the flow is better. If it is the cold valve isn't opening all the way.

Whirlpool Washer Leaking

Opened the Washer and found there was a leak in the pump. Got an M-Seal and just put it on the leak. 45 mins later the machine was in action again.
It took time for me to figure out where the problem was, once you know exactly where it is you should be able to fix it.

My Kenmore 110 92587210 Washer is slowly letting water in

The solenoid for the cold water valve has failed in the open position and needs to be replaced. The valve unit is for both hot and cold. It is the item that the water hoses are connected to.

Can you slowly increase the revs? It sounds like an accelerator pump or debris in the carb.
