SOURCE: Kyocera CS 2030 fax jams

If you have the internal fax tray, check where the paper is getting jammed. It may jam right @ the exit gate, which can be wiggled to proper position, or the white paper turn guide on the fuser may have notches worn it it from paper exiting from the copier. These notches can be sanded down with emery cloth or very fine sand paper to smooth.

Paper jam message does not clear after paper jam has been removed

Paper jams can be tricky to solve. The paper is usually stuck inside the printer mechanism so even if there is no visible paper jam, you will still get the paper jam error. Try this:

1. Turn off your copier
2. Open all trays and remove any paper stuck there
3. Locate the button to open the printer, open it and remove any paper stuck there also.
4. Repeate the above step for all buttons that you can find to access the inside of the copier
5. Close all doors and put back all trays
6. Turn on your copier

Copier jams after making one copy

Is the jam Physical? (Damaged lead edge where it may have caught some thing)
Is the jam Timing (paper if perfect, it just stopped.)
If it is Physical then you need to look for the obstruction, paper clip, staple, or small piece of paper. Check very carefully, remove any foreign matter and retry.

If it is a timing jam, the start by removing the paper, check inside the the paper feed area for foreign material, fan the paper and carefully reinstall it, making sure it is the right size paper for the paper cassette. if it has movable guides in the tray, be sure they are firmly against the paper on all sides.

Close up the machine and try again.

Hope this helps.
