After recording vcr to dvd on disk how can iput it my computer

Make sure that your computer has a DVD drive. Insert the disk into your computer. If autoplay is set to run, x out of it when it opens. Double click on "My Computer" Icon from the desktop. Open the dvd drive and then right click on the item inside of the disk and save to your computer in the video file folder.

Virus notice keeps popping up and unable to open any programs. i have had downloaded McAfee anitivirus and cannot get it to open

You require Norton AntiVirus from a disc as a clean boot will be required due to the virus "hiding" in the RAM.

My computer will not open any program. it says that they are all infected. I cannot open the internet to download a virus remover. It will not open sysytem restore either.

Remove the disk-drive from your computer.
Connect the disk-drive as a "slave" disk-drive in some other computer.
Update the anti-virus software on that computer.
Do a "deep" scan of all the files on that "slave" disk-drive, to eliminate the virus.
Return the "cleaned" disk-drive to your computer.

Note that "best practises" state that you never can be 100% sure that you have "cleaned" your computer, and the only 100% solution is to buy a new (faster, bigger) disk-drive, and to install Windows onto it. Then, copy all your data files from the "old" disk-drive to the "new" disk-drive.

Hoow do you open gateway MX6440. No audio. Bootup

Typically, a computer tries to "boot" from several devices:
1. 3.5-inch diskette
2. internal CD-ROM
3. internal disk-drive
4. USB memory-stick
5. network (if a "boot-server" can be found on the network)
6. external diskette
7. external CD-ROM
8. external disk-drive

So, in your case, either

* the "boot-order" _EXCLUDES_ your disk-drive,
* your disk-drive is not connected,
* your disk-drive is connected, but is "dead" (not responding)

Not being able to boot from the disk-drive, your computer probes, via the network, for a "boot-server". Finding none, your computer reports, in a strange way, that "network cable is not connected to a boot-server".

So, the "check cable" means that the Ethernet cable between the network-port on your computer and the boot-server may be "unconnected".

What this could mean is that your disk-drive is "dead".
Take the computer to a qualified technician, for more trouble-shooting.

My sims 2 games wont open. When i put the disk in, it spins and makes the noises that its going to start but never opens. ive checked through "my computer" and the computer is reconising the disk its just...

To verify whether the problem is with your cd drive or with your sims 2 disk, try running a different disk in the drive. If you are successful in opening and running the other disk, then your cd drive is fine and your sims 2 disk is faulty. If you've had the sims 2 disk for a while, it may be scratched.
If the other disk shows the same symptoms, I would suspect that your cd drive is bad and needs to be replaced.

Computer hard drive

Try the disk in another computer.
If the other computer can read the disk, then the disk-reader in your computer is the problem.

Carefully insert a disk into your computer, noting which way the labelling on the disk is pointing.
Close the disk-drawer.
When the light goes out, open the drawer.
If the labelling is still pointing the same way,
the drive probably has _NOT_ spun the disk at all -- bad news.

TEAC DW-28E DVD/CD-ROM not reading TDK DVR+R disk

ON a computer than can read the disk and has CD/DVD burning software installed on it, check the status of the media sessions. If this was writtien as a multi-session disk and the session has not been closed, many older drives will have difficulty reading it.

I can't open a disk from the d : drive

Try this: Open up "My Computer" and look for the CD. If you see it in there, double-click on it to open it.

In XP, My Computer is either on your desktop or inside the Start menu, on the right.

In Vista, My Computer is inside the Start menu, on the right. (Vista has known problems with the Autostart function on CDs).

Connect to pc and use device manager

You need to get an USB cable and connect to PC.

On PC , after you wait a bit, you get a small message near the clock, and sometimes also a window popping up, telling you that the new disk had been detected.

Depending on windows settings you may also get a menu with several option, the last one will be open folder to view files.
That opens straight the mp3 folder.

If that does not happen go into My computer folder or Computer on Vista, and look for a new disk.
There you will find the new disk that is your MP3 player.

Once you have the folder with your disk opened, open the folder where you stored MP3 on your computer, and copy them into the MP3 disk.

If there is an error message or the computer does not see the disk then there is a problem, in that case let me know.
